The 2026 Society of Gilders Conference

June 15-19 2026 we returned to the the splendid American College of Building Arts in Charleston, SC. for classes, lectures, and more fun with Social gatherings and and a pop-up exhibit !

The Society of Gilders Conference is the only gathering of its kind in the world, with gilders, artisans, artists, and tradespersons… all dedicated to gilding education.

A wide choice of classes in a variety of gilding techniques  were offfered this year including water gilding, art glass work, reparure, kintsugi, finishing techniques, and other specialized work. 

2026 Scholarship Awardees:  Three gilders were awarded scholarships from the Sandra Spannan Educational Scholarship Fund. Our congratulations to Sara Eggen, Lisa Ingram and Stephanie Becarra!

Community Projects:  We restored two frames for the Gibbes Museum and held a special class for kids.  (more info coming soon)
