A single booklet of 5 or 25 leaves, in loose or transfer format. The thickness is indicatedwith its relative weight and amounts to 16 grams per 1000 leaves. Transfer leaf differs from loose leaf because it rests on a sheet of tissue paper, which protrudes from the booklet, to facilitate speedy handling and application. This form is always applied with the oil gilding technique and is recommended only for the decoration of smooth surfaces or for exterior gilding.
